What this does

This YouTube subscriber count checker looks up any public channel and shows how many subscribers it has. Paste an @handle, a youtube.com/@handle link, a youtube.com/channel/UC… link or the channel ID. You get the count beside the channel's other public totals: videos, views and the date it started.

YouTube rounds a public subscriber count down to three significant figures, so 1,234,567 shows as 1.23M and the number is a floor, not an exact figure. We show what YouTube sends and keep each lookup for up to an hour, so this is a quick check, not a live counter.

A channel can hide its count. When it does, YouTube sends nothing to show, and the page says so. We read public data only and never log into a channel.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do I check any YouTube channel's subscriber count?

Paste the channel's @handle, link or ID into the box above. On YouTube itself, open the channel page and read the number under the name. The owner can hide it.

Is the YouTube subscriber count accurate?

It is YouTube's own public figure. Above 1,000 YouTube rounds it down to three significant figures, so 1,234,567 shows as 1.23M. We keep each lookup for up to an hour, so a count that just moved may not show yet.

Is this a live subscriber counter?

No. Live counters poll YouTube every few seconds. This looks a channel up when you ask and keeps the answer for up to an hour. Use it to check a channel, not to watch the number change.

Why does my subscriber count look different in Studio?

Studio shows the exact number to the channel owner. Public pages and the API show the rounded figure. Your own count in Studio is the one to trust.

Can a channel hide its subscriber count?

Yes. The owner can hide it, and YouTube then sends no count. The page says the count is hidden instead of guessing one.

What is a good subscriber count on YouTube?

It depends on the niche and the age of the channel. 1,000 is the usual first milestone because it is the Partner Program subscriber bar. Compare a channel with others in its niche, not with a global list.

Do I need an account?

No.

Is anything stored?
